"Ryan Shannon has figured out what many will never understand in a lifetime - freedom is more valuable than money, experiences are more important than objects, and traveling the world is possible without 30 years of saving, scrounging, and hating your life. The best part is, he shows you how to do it, and tells you how he's done it." — Reviewer

There are a few universal human truths we all want to fall in love, be happy, and travel the world. Travel is right at the top of nearly everyone’s bucket list. It’s just one of the things we want to do as human beings.

For many people, traveling the world is thought to be an unattainable dream. It's not something you can have right here, right now, in your prime younger years (but for those of you who are a little older, remember it’s never too late to travel the world — there are still tons of relevant resources). The only time you think you can travel is when you're older, after you’ve retired with hundreds of thousands in the bank. Or, perhaps after saving up and cutting costs while working your nine to five job, just to take a week off to travel the world and return back to the monotonous working life.

My goal in writing this eBook is to debunk the myths that you must wait until you're retired, older or rich to travel the world.

At 18 years old, I broke free from the conventional high school to college to career outline. I said to myself, ‘screw going straight into school, screw working in my suburban town; I am going to go off and experience the world.’ By taking a risk and breaking free, I've packed more experience into my years than many 80-year-olds have. Life's too short not to explore uncharted territory, take risks, and actually pursue what you love.

Travel has become my area of expertise and I want to share what I've learned with you. I have received dozens, if not hundreds, of messages from friends, acquaintances and complete strangers that have asked me how I travel so much. Hence, this eBook was born!

The methods of traveling the world for free or while making money I cover are legitimate and I use or have used most myself. Learn how you can travel with free room and board, find cheap flights and cheap tickets; even make money along your journey.

How Can You Travel the World (And Even Make Money)?

  • Teach English. Glaringly obvious. This is one of the most common routes, but I give you insider information and teach you how to teach on the go virtually.

  • Freelancing. It's intimidating to leave the stability of your job, but becoming your own boss allows you to work from anywhere.

  • Crowdfunding. Often overlooked, crowdfunding is a great way to tap into some funds from people who love and support you.

  • Volunteer Exchanges. Stay with hosts all around the world as you teach them your language, share your culture, work on home projects or man the front desk.

  • And more! From typical methods of travel to more obscure ways, this eBook provides you with insider information on how you can travel the world affordably.

I recommend this book to those who want to travel, but think that they cannot afford it. The author provides many workable ideas and useful solutions to address the (untrue) assumption that in order to travel, one must have money. But, I found that the best piece of advice was simply to just go!

Great read. There are many good tips and advice on this book. I found it helpful and would suggest this book to friends
Travel has been something I have put off for quite some time. But I think now i'm ready to finally get out there and go. Especially because the author is just 21 and has been able to see the world. If he can do it so young, why can't I? I really like the idea of using one of the help volunteer sites and will probably try to find something in South America.
Great information and chalk-full of ideas to travel the world. Really like how it was broken down section by section with the various categories like "length of commitment" and "skills required" etc. Overall a great resource to have if you're a young person that wants to travel the world
The author gives really useful tips on how you can travel abroad, even if you have little or no money. The benefits detailed include learning a second language, creating wonderful memories, becoming happier and building better coping skills. He also gives excellent information on where you can stay and how to get a job to fund your travels.

I recommend this book to people of all ages, who may think that it is impossible to travel without any money. This book proves that you can go anywhere you want, if you put your mind to it!
I just love how Ryan took off on a solo journey and in the process discovered his authentic self and started living to the fullest. I think that is very courageous and admirable. He has travelled to a lot of different countries like, South Korea, China, Japan, The gulf Arab States, Vietnam, Spain Portugal and Costa Rica and a lot more countries which was interesting to read about and how you found work and earned money. He has chosen to do what makes him happy and that is travelling. He says that travelling has really positive health benefits like lowering stress, preventing hart attacks and increasing overall happiness. Another great benefit he added was making friends and travel go hand in hand, so as he says everyone you come across when you travel has the potential to be a friend, so travelling solo can take on a whole new meaning. This book is full of good information
Ryan Shannon has figured out what many will never understand in a lifetime - freedom is more valuable than money, experiences are more important than objects, and traveling the world is possible without 30 years of saving, scrounging, and hating your life.
The best part is, he shows you how to do it, and tells you how he's done it. With tips for getting paid work while you're abroad (online freelance ops, WWOOFing, etc), or doing exchange programs so you can live (and even eat) for free in exchange for a small amount of work.
But other than the personal stories and travel-hacking tricks, what I loved most about the book was the way Ryan sets the readers expectations. As right from the outset he explains that this isn't traveling in the conventional sense, with steak dinners, fine wine, and fancy hotels. It's visiting places like a local would and taking the time to stop and enjoy the little things, instead of rushing around like a crazy tourist.
Or as he outlines in 1 of 2 his principles at the start, everything has an "opportunity cost." So you can either accept the fact that traveling the world means living on less (and living differently), or you can stay at home with more stuff you don't need, a job you don't like, and never travel the world. Your choice?
its a good read
